Job Brief
As an Azure Data Specialist, you will work on the team to create a baseline Azure environment for our staff and engineering teams to use for customer success. In this role, you will help lead the definition, development, and administration of the Azure environment used by the IT department and various functional business areas.
Responsibilities:
- Lead our Azure Data Solutions projects for data management and analytics
- Provide technical guidance and advice for the design and development of Azure data solutions for data modeling and storage, data integration, and analytics
- Implement Azure data services including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Microsoft Power Platform
- Interact with various business groups to identify needs and translate them into customized solutions
- Design and develop scalable data entry mechanisms to transform a wide range of data sets
- Assisting the business development team with pre-sales activities and responses to requests for proposals
- Research, analyze and help implement technical approaches to solve complex and complex development and integration problems, develop strategy and roadmap
- Reporting incidents of non-compliance
- Raising awareness among team members
Skills and Experience
- 6+ Years of experience in data development/data warehousing
- 3+ Experience implementing Azure analytics platforms for customer projects
- Experience implementing two or more of Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake
- Good experience with SSIS as well as experience with Azure Data Factory
- In-depth knowledge of database models, methods and technologies, data storage, collection and aggregation and their business applications
- Experience with Azure SDKs and software access services
- Experience with version control platforms
- Working knowledge of agile development, including DevOps concepts
- Experience collecting and analyzing system requirements
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function effectively in a cross-team environment
- Good familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Good familiarity with the cloud data ecosystem
